On Tuesday night I found a cat on our top balcony. A kinda scared, hungry and thirsty looking white cat. I let her in, gave her some food and wondered where she came from…
The top balcony is quite high with no trees nearby, so the only thing I could think of was that she came from the roof. After feeding her, petting her, and watching her play with a grasshopper, I let her out for a wee in the sandy complex garden downstairs.
Leaving her there to play with the other cats, I found her later and brought her inside to sleep in a warm bed (an open sports bag).
Yesterday morning I gave her some tuna, and let her out. Still not knowing who the cat belongs to I thought it would be a good idea to wait and see if missing cat signs go up.
This morning I was woken up by knocking at the door in the early hours of the morning (7am). Finding my neighbour there to fetch her cat. So I was right! It did come from over the roof. She said the cat has only been hers for a week and is a bit dumb and doesn’t really know how to get home.
The cat mystery is solved.
